Cardiologist
Prima CARE, in Fall River, Massachusetts, is recruiting a Board-certified or Board-eligible, fellowship-trained non-invasive (non-interventional) cardiologist to join its established Cardiology Division, seeing both outpatients and inpatient consults.
The busy outpatient practice serves a large patient base and offers extensive outpatient testing, including 3-D echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, and Holter monitoring.
The cardiologists also see hospital consults on a weekly rotating basis and are qualified to interpret EKG, Holter, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests. There are 3 cardiac nurse practitioners in the hospital.
We round at Saint Anne’s Hospital which offers EKG, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, nuclear stress testing, ICU, and cardiac telemetry, along with cardiac catheterization and coronary interventions. Charlton Memorial Hospital, 5 minutes away, offers electrophysiology, open heart surgery, and structural interventions, but we do not routinely round there. Inpatient duties include consults from our Hospitalists, and may require placement of temporary pacing wires, management of CHF, dysrhythmias, acute myocardial infarctions, and acutely-ill cardiac patients.
