Position: Medical Receptionist - Radiology
Location: Fall River, MA
Job Type: Full - Time

Job Description:

Prima CARE’s Radiology Department is hiring a Full-Time Medical Receptionist. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with multi-tasking, while providing excellent patient care.

The Medical Receptionist performs a variety of customer service and support staff duties for the Radiology Department which requires a range of skills and knowledge of medical terminology and attention to compassionate patient care. Efficiency and quick learning are valuable qualities in this department.

This staff member plays an integral role in shaping the patient’s impression of the department which shapes the patient-provider relationship. This individual is a member of the team who is responsible for a variety of activities in the department including telephone reception, greeting patients/visitors, responding to inquiries from patients and providing information about the department and organization. HIIPA must also be maintained at all times to our patients.

Essential Job Functions:

• Check-in patients
• Verify all demographics
• Schedule appointments
• Perform eligibilities
• Scan outside orders into eCW
• Maintain patient confidence and protect medical office operations by keeping patient information confidential
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Answers questions from patients
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Burn CD’s

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Great communication skills
• Flexibility & reliability
• Excellent patient care
• Basic computer skills

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in the medical field preferred
• eCW experience a plus
