Sonia Shahid, MD

Dr. Shahid is an experienced specialist in Hospital Medicine, having practiced medicine in New York and New England prior to joining Prima CARE in 2012.  She is a graduate of Punjab Medical College in Pakistan and has completed residencies in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, most recently training in the Boston University program at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence.  She has performed medical research and presented her findings at medical meetings internationally.  She is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Pakistan and is Board-certified in Internal Medicine. As a member of Prima CARE's Hospitalist team, Dr. Shahid cares for patients at St. Anne's and Charlton Memorial Hospitals. She is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi.
