Meet Joseph Spirito Jr., MD
Dr. Joseph Spirito is a Board-certified Internal Medicine physician with an extensive background in outpatient and hospital-based medical care. He joined Prima CARE in 2015 to assume Directorship of the Fall River Walk-in Clinic and to practice Internal Medicine.
Dr. Spirito is a graduate of Saint Louis University and earned his Doctorate in Medicine at St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine in the Yale University Program at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut.
For over 15 years, Dr. Spirito has served as Medical Director of various nursing facilities, outpatient medical practices, and hospital programs, serving as Chief of the Medical Staff in Hereford, Texas. He was the Chairman and Director othe Hospitalist Program at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, and has also developed significant expertise in Palliative and Hospice Care. Pursuing his interest in the application of technology to the delivery of patient-centered medical care, he is the Chief Medical Officer of PhoneDOCTORx, allowing face-to-face medical care at all hours to those in need.
Dr. Spirito is Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and in Hospice & Palliative Medicine. Dr. Spirito sees patients in the Urgent Care Clinic on Prima CARE's main campus on Pleasant Street in Fall River. He is affiliated with Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River.
