Dr. Hamzeh Saraireh is a Fellowship-trained specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan and completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Sararieh was a Fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia before joining Prima CARE's Gastroenterology Division.
Dr. Saraireh is Board-Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American College of Physicians, and the Jordan Medical Association. He is trained in all aspects of general gastroenterology and GI endoscopy.
Dr. Saraireh has given over two dozen presentations of clinical research at major national meetings and has published a dozen peer-reviewed papers in the gastroenterology literature. He has been involved in Quality Improvement efforts and has won numerous academic awards throughout his years of training. He has coordinated and participated as a volunteer in various medical projects benefitting the underprivileged and has volunteered to provide physical, mental, and emotional support to those disabled by landmine injuries.
Dr. Saraireh sees patients in his Prima CARE office in the Division of Gastroenterology at 289 Pleasant Street on the main Prima CARE campus, and he sees hospitalized patients in consultation at Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River. He performs upper and lower endoscopic procedures in the Prima CARE Endoscopy Center. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
