Meet Cathleen Hood, MD
Dr. Cathleen Hood is a Primary Care physician with over 30 years of experience serving the Fall River and Westport communities.
After earning her medical degree at Brown University, she trained in Family Medicine at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket. She founded Primary Care Partnership in 2000 as a unique and personalized blend of traditional allopathic medicine and complementary approaches to health care. Dr. Hood and her practice joined Prima CARE in 2013.
Primary Care Partnership in housed in the renovated, historic Macomber-Kirkaldy House in Westport. There, she and her staff share a philosphy that integrates the best of modern medical care with the disciplines of osteopathy, muscular therapy/chiropractic, herbology, homeopathy, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese medicine. Reiki and yoga are offered.
As part of comprehensive primary care, Dr. Hood provides physical exams, management of acute and chronic conditions, women's health care, minor surgical procedures, and counseling regarding nutrition, weight loss, and social/emotional well-being.
Dr. Hood is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Massachusetts Medical Society. She is on the associate medical staffs of St. Anne's and Charlton Memorial Hospitals.
