Dr. Jay Patel is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in both Adult Reconstruction/Joint Replacement Surgery and Orthopedic Oncology. He is a graduate of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health - Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey, followed by a Fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, New Jersey. Dr. Patel then completed a Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction/Joint Replacement Surgery at UCLA in California. After training practiced in Atlanta, GA before joining Prima CARE.
Dr. Patel has served as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor in Orthopedic Surgery, and has participated in charitable educational efforts to improve health care in his community. Dr. Patel has contributed 75 research, video, poster, and literature review publications to his professional orthopedic colleagues locally, regionally, and in major orthopedic journals. His expertise includes primary and revision surgery, minimally-invasive, and robotic surgery, and is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for his patients.
Dr. Patel sees patients in the Prima CARE Orthopedic Surgery office in Building 1 on the main Prima CARE campus, and performs surgical procedures at Saint Anne’s Hospital. Dr. Patel is accepting new patients and is pleased to bring his advanced degree of orthopedic expertise to southeastern Massachusetts.
