Prima CARE's Center for Vascular Diseases will officially inaugurate it's completely renovated facility on November 26 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Vascular Division, founded by Dr. Ibrahim Eid 10 years ago, has steadily grown to the current three-physician practice providing a complete package of vascular services. These include the only IAC fully-accredited Noninvasive Vascular Lab in the area, a Vein Center, and the first office-based Endovascular Suite in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Dr. Eid is joined by Dr. Rajendra Patel (trained at the MGH) and Dr. Soma Brahmanandam (trained at Cleveland Clinic) in a comprehensive practice that sees patients in Fall River, Taunton, Middleborough, and Providence.
The new Endovascular Suite allows patients to undergo procedures in the comfort and convenience of an office setting, and at significantly less expense than the traditional hospital setting. Maintaining the highest standards of quality, while improving the patient experience, are the Center's missions. Diagnostic angiography of the arteries and veins, treatment with balloons and stents, placement of venous ports, and maintenance of dialysis access are but a few of the procedures that can now be treated in this innovative suite.
Patient education and 'shared decision-making' are encouraged by the Center's staff using the wealth of teaching material provided by the online resources of Expert Medical Navigation.
