February is American Heart Health Month!
Throughout the month of February, join Prima CARE in celebrating not only Valentine's Day, but also American Heart Health Month.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women, especially for individuals with hypertension, which also increases the risk for stroke. Heart disease knows no boundaries, affecting all Americans and causing 17.9 million deaths world-wide each year. This number is predicted to rise to 23.6 million by 2030.
The most effective strategy for combating heart disease is awareness, regular medical care, exercise, diet, smoking cessation, and taking medications properly.
See our Prima CARE Cardiology billboard in our parking lot, see our reminders on Facebook, and (if you are at risk) see your physician.
