Job Description:
The Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the vascular practice and management of the employees. They will meet with the Medical Director on a regular basis to discuss any issues and get feedback about the operation from the Provider’s perspective.  Essential job functions include:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Vascular Practice
    1. Make sure staffing is appropriately allocated
    2. Make sure providers are available and stay on task
  • Scheduling of employees for on and offsite clinics
  • Payroll- submit every 2 weeks
    1. Keep track of overtime hours
  • Manage PTO requests
  • Review mail received and distribute to appropriate staff/department
  • Patient satisfaction
    1. Ensure that all staff members are promoting optimal patient care
    2. Speak with all patients that are unsatisfied or have a problem
  • Hiring of Staff
    1. Schedule and interview perspective hires
    2. Create and review Job Descriptions and make sure they are current and appropriately describe the position.
    3. 3 month performance evaluation of all new hires
  • Employee management
    1. Yearly performance evaluation for all employees
    2. Document and meet with staff that require Verbal and Written Warnings
  • Review all bills for accuracy, assign to appropriate cost center and submit to Accounting Department
  • Schedule and facilitate regular staff and provider meetings
    1. Create and distribute agenda prior to meeting
    2. Document meeting minutes and distribute to appropriate staff
  • Maintenance and Inventory
    1. Track all required maintenance
    2. Delegate staff members to manage inventory and oversee that its being performed adequately
    3. Meet with vendors as needed to ensure that contracts are up to date and pricing is best available
  • Staff Training
    1. The Practice Manager will have full understanding and will be able to perform the role of all front office staff including: Check In/Out, Scheduling, Medical Records and limited Medical Assistant duties (rooming patients, chart review, patient phone calls etc).
  • Staff Coverage
    1. The Practice Manager will cover or assist the front office staff afore mentioned, when short staffed or when duties cannot be completed by the assigned staff member.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 4-6 years related work experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Computer Knowledge- ability to navigate within web-based applications.
